The project focuses on the importance of human rights activism in the complex social and political landscape of Ahmedabad. It aims to shed light on the experiences and contributions of activists striving for social justice and equality. The city itself has been the epicenter of mass movements, models of development, and riots. Looking at five activists using different mediums and negotiation approaches who have been working on various fields such as land issues, environmental justice, and the rights of minority communities. The documentation of activists becomes increasingly important as we require a fifth pillar of democracy. In the face of this crisis of violence, injustice, and misrepresentation, does the act of dissent and expression become the only choice?
